Summer Learning Journey-Malosi vs Dr Zakar!

The epic fight between the Samoan Superhero, Malosi and her nemesis, Dr Zakar! Once Malosi breaks into Zakar’s secret base she gets caught in a trap. Her companions are busy protecting their own city and there are no water around for her to control! What will she do? Malosi calls upon her tattoo pig, Pua’a and Pua’a charges at Dr Zakar with full speed. Dr Zakar is defeated…again BUT will he be able to escape prison and finally get Malosi?

Summer Learning Journey-Superhero:Malosi

The symbol at the bottom left is Malosi’s, (my superhero’s) symbol. It shows a star floating in the water while wearing a red lavalava and a blue shirt. The brown stick on the right is a nose-blown flute. I thought a regular flute was basic, so I tried doing a “Special” flute. It didn’t take me long to write her information, but as for the drawing it took me 2 days.

Overall, I am really proud of my superhero. Although it didn’t really meet up with my expectations, I’m happy how it turned out. But my favourite part of the drawing is the water snake behind her.

Letter to Father, from The Headmaster

Dear Mr.Gallo

Greetings, how are you? I hope you are well. This is the Headmaster of the local school in town. I must say, I am very concerned for your family. They are in deep need of money. I have noticed your wife isn’t able to get a job but she’s doing what she is able to do right now and as for your children. They are currently helping their mother. Without any money, their hunger will increase. Water will probably not be a problem for now, but food will be quite a struggle.

Everyone needs education to survive by themselves. Education is very important. If your kids are not educated in 4 or 5 years I am afraid their future might end up in a downfall. The only help I can provide right now is a free lesson at my school. As a father of 7 children. I would be devastated if one were to be in trouble. I suggest arriving back in town as soon as possible.

Ti auguro una buona giornata oggi (Have a good day)

Kind Regards, Headmaster Dante.

Argument for Schooling

The children at the school are too young and might not be interested in you. Remember the rude people who would judge our culture? What if you experience something like that? If those children decide to go berserk, we won’t be able to protect you. Also you have no experience with American culture. I have heard they are loud and disrespectful. Although this is a rumour, we have to be careful. Once we receive enough money we can finally send you to school. But promise me you will pass your knowledge down to your sisters, so we can save more money. For the good of the family.

Letter to little sister-Diana

Dear Little Sister

Greetings Diana, how have you been? Do you like the flute I gave you? I hope it fits your standards unlike that dusty, broken one Aunty Marie gave you. If you are worried about me,there is no need to. My day has been splendid,my husband bought me a beautiful red flapper dress and a silky, rouge scarf to fit with the colour of the dress.

The room contained very luxurious items. I do think that you would love the appetisers, the Beluga Caviar and Parmesan Cheese was absolutely delightful! Once the boat arrived it made one awful but satisfying sound. Such as a train arriving but much louder and wrecked. Once I stepped on the boat my day became even more marvellous. There was an upper class and lower class, clearly I chose the upper class, why wouldn’t I? As expected, the upper class had the most extraordinary rooms. Of course, the upper class will never be “up” without me! The elegant frau of Germany, most admirable and polite. Enough about me now, but the view was lovely. The sound of doves singing in perfect harmony will leave a hole in my heart. Looking down was quite the ruin though. Fathers, Mothers and children in horrid and dull clothes, their fashion was honestly terrible. The expressions on their faces made me feel…empathy. Oh those poor people, Diana if you have seen their faces you would be tearing up too!

On the other hand, America was absolutely beautiful! The wondrous birds flying above the land like little angels surrounding a church was delightful. But the grey and dull concrete ruins the aura, I must say America is not very green compared to Germany. The statue! Ah yes, the beautiful lady who holds the torch and wears an admirable crown just made the aura even better. I must say, America was not what I expected. Very beautiful and delightful.

Overall, my day has been most outstanding. Once I arrive in America, I will write to you more and tell you all the wonders I have discovered! Please write back to me as soon as possible. Make sure to send me black gloves and a pearl necklace for my upcoming birth of the day too. If you would like to see some American items, I can send you clothing.

Kind Regards,

Marilyn
