R.E- Making Lent Meaningful

Our class looked at a collage full of images that are apart of Lent. I chose “Can’t sleep, talk to me-God” since it has a very big meaning. There are many other reasons talking to God than not being able to sleep. For example if you’re going through something that is troubling you, talk to God about your issues and he will isten to your sorrows.

My Why poem

Everyone has a moment or multiple moments they would love to experience again, but there are also moments you deeply regret and want to forget. For instance, like accidentally breaking a window or maybe being growled off for being too loud or annoying. However, some bad memories might be a reason why you are you! Same thing goes for good memories. Items can also cause small but important memories, like matches to light the candles in Church. Or a lavalava to wear at a family gathering.

Of course you can’t change the past. You can only decide your future, as in what qualities you will use to achieve your dream. As in maturity, intelligence, optimism, working hard and all other positive qualities as well. Its okay to have bad memories, its just apart of life.

R.E- Backpack

For R.E I had to ask myself “what am I going to take with me on my Lenten journey?” The items I will take aren’t just about morning tea, water bottle or a hat. Its about what good I can do with the items I choose. An item I will definitely take is a rosary, to pray and spend time with God. A bible to spread the gospel to those around me, some canned foods to donate to the orphans and poor and a healthy lunch to prevent my body from getting damaged.

R.E-Euphrasie Barbier

Every year at the beginning of Term 1, we learn about Euphrasie Barbier and what were her qualities + attitude. Euphrasie Barbier isn’t only known as the founder of the “Mission Sisters,” she’s also known as a helpful and religious nun who spoke for the marginalised. As in women, children and the Maori.
