For this SLJ activity I had to make a Fish & Chips menu. Not what I expected from a SLJ activity but I love the uniqueness and creativity of this project! By far one of my favourite SLJ activities. What I love about this is I have the free will to add any kinds of food on my menu. For example, seafood boil. I’ve never tried it before but all those videos on the social media make it look so delicious! So it just makes me crave it even more!
Whats a food you’re interested in trying someday? Let me know!
Talofa Madelyn, I really like the way you kept your project simple yet appealing for the eye to see !! I will definitely be trying these recipes. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!
Sorry I didn’t mean the recipe I meant that I would love to try some of the food you added to your work!! Sorry
Talofa Lava Sulia, its okay! Even if you left it there I would still understand what you meant. But also, thank you for the encouragement! I really appreciate it.
Goodbye and have a fantastic holiday!

Kia ora Madelyn,
It’s Charlotte again, a Summer Learning Journey Blog Commenter. Ka pai on your work completing the Chippy Challenge activity. Do you have any tips for others wanting to try this activity?
Yum! Your menu is full of delicious food. It makes me hungry just looking at it! If you could buy a few things off your menu for dinner, what would it be? I would have a hard time deciding!
I love how you have included a question for your readers in your blog post. This will encourage readers to leave a comment on your post. In answer to your question: I’ve always been interested in trying snails, I’m not sure I will like the taste but it would be interesting to find out. Do you have any other foods you are interested in trying?

Thank you for commenting on my work, I really appreciate it. And to answer your question, I would definitely order the seafood boil for my dinner! Snails is a good option, although I’ve never tried any, I heard its texture and taste is the same as a clam or mushroom. And to answer your question again, I would love to try a “Balut” one day.
Thank you and have a wonderful day today!

Kia ora Madelyn,
Thank you for your response. Seafood boil does sound delicious!
Interesting about the texture of snails being similar to clams and mushrooms – do you like those foods? If yes, you might like to try a snail one day.
Balut would definitely be interesting to try, I don’t think we offer it anywhere in NZ so you would have to travel to try it! Do you know what countries serve balut? Which would you like to visit?
